About the Authors

Katharina Gerlach grew up in the middle of a forest in the heart of the Luneburgian Heather.

After romping through the forest with imagination as her guide, the tomboy learned to read and disappeared into magical adventures, past times or eerie fairytale woods -- and never returned.

Will Hahn has been in love with heroic tales since age four, when his father read him the Lays of Ancient Rome and the Tales of King Arthur. He taught Ancient-Medieval History for years, but the line between this world and others has always been thin.

When he was young, any stick or vaguely-sticklike object became a sword in Will's hands, to the great dismay of his five sisters. Everyone survived, in part by virtue of a rule forbidding him from handling umbrellas, ski poles, curtain rods and more.

Debbie Mumford, a mother of three and grandmother of four, lives near the Pacific Coast of the USA with her husband, beloved bullmastiff and ghost-white cat. When the active characters that people her imagination allow, she's a quilt artist and teacher, and of course, an avid reader.

Debbie loves mythology, especially Celtic lore. She specializes in fantasy for all ages (including the occasional paranormal romance). Dragons and faeries and coyotes, oh my!
