My recommendation for everybody (especially aspiring writers): get hooked on books. In the worst case you will need a while to find the books you fall in love with but the search is worth the while. The most boring day becomes an adventure playground, if there are enough books assembled. Books can be comforting. They can ease sorrow, suggest solutions to problems, help you study, wake your imagination and inspire your dreams.

If you have read enough books you might get the idea to write one yourself. Well, that isn't as easy as you might think. There are lots of pitfalls for a beginning writer. Since many writers have gone the way before you, you should use the help and knowledge they provide.
