cover text

When street-urchin Paul is tricked into burglarizing Mother's Chapel, he learns that he was marked for death at birth and that he has a twin brother who is heir to the throne. Crown Prince Rupert spends the night in the chapel in the desperate hope that the deity will cure his mental disability. To save Rupert who is in danger of being executed, Paul poses as the miraculously healed royal heir. To Paul, getting to know his family is a dream coming true. He tries his best to be a convincing crown prince but finds that his greatest skill, getting by unnoticed, is now his greatest liability.

Life doesn’t get easier when Morgard, the sorcerer of a neighboring kingdom, sparks a war by forcing his sovereign to kidnap Paul’s father. As the king’s supposedly only son, it is up to Paul to save his country without losing the most important people in his life, his family and friends.

I entered my novel "Thicker Than Water" in the Amazon Breaktrough Novel Award. I did not win (they accepted 10.000 entries!) but it was worth a try. At least I got some feedback and a $5 voucher for amazon.
